Bearing knowledge that steam engine people must know!
Steam turbine radial bearings are divided into two categories: fixed pad bearings and tilt pad bearings.
1. Fixed pad bearing
Fixed pad bearings, oil cylindrical bearings, elliptical pad bearings, multi-oil wedges and multi-oil leaf bearings (not widely used at present).
An ordinary cylindrical bearing, consisting of an upper and lower halves. The outer circle of the lower half bearing body is provided with three radial adjustment cushion blocks, and the top of the upper half bearing is provided with a radial adjustment cushion block for bearing adjustment.
It is for bearing adjustment.
The elliptical bearing is a self-positioning bearing, which has the advantage of having less layers in the structure, and the babbitt alloy is directly poured on the inner surface of the bearing, and the inner bearing surface is processed into an elliptical form.
2. Tilt pad bearing
Four tilting pad bearings, in the back of the upper half of the two pads, are provided with springs at the oil outlet along the steering, so that the pads have a tendency to press towards the rotor in this back, prevent the oil inlet side of the pad and the shaft journal from braking the bad tendency, and at the same time repair the slope on the oil inlet side of the tile surface, so as to facilitate the lubricating oil to enter the tile surface.
The upper half is a round pad, and the lower half is composed of two tilt pad bearings, the stability of the bearings of this structure is stronger than that of cylindrical bearings, and the bearing capacity is larger than that of general tilt pad bearings, and it has the advantages of tilting pad bearings to eccentricity and misalignment sensitivity to small teaching.
At present, the newer type of tile surface oil inlet side with oil inlet groove tilt pad bearing, lubricating oil by direct oil supply and oil discharge. Each tile has an oil inlet groove, and the lubricating oil is discharged directly after the tile surface is working, which has a small power consumption.
Classification of thrust bearings
1. Radial thrust combined bearing
This structure is characterized by the radial and thrust bearings placed in one body, and the spherical fit between the bearing body and the bearing sleeve, so that the bearing is automatically adjusted with the deflection deformation of the shaft, so that there is good contact between the pad surface and the thrust plate surface on the rotor, and this structure is suitable for the unit with flexible rotor and axial load is not too large.
There is also a kind of radial thrust combined bearing for elastic balanced pads, thrust pads are rested on the elastic ring, and the elastic ring produces elastic deformation when bearing, so as to meet the requirement that each tile surface has good contact with the thrust plate plane. This structure is used in units with rigid rotors and low axial loads.
2. Kingsbury thrust bearings
The tile is symmetrically supported and can be used for both positive and negative steering work.
