Rolling bearings are generally used for low-speed applications, and plain bearings are generally used for high-speed applications. As the name suggests, there are balls in rolling bearings, which are spherical, cylindrical, and conical. Plain bearings are generally bearings. It is difficult to distinguish between high and low speed bearings by appearance, and most common low-speed bearings are cheap and cheap, but there are many high-speed bearings used in the interior of the machine.

If you must distinguish high and low speed bearings from the appearance, you can look at the following two points:

 

1. The high-speed bearing has higher precision than the low-speed bearing, and its surface roughness is small. The intuitive difference is that the surface of the high-speed bearing is smoother than that of the low-speed bearing, and the gap between the swinging outer ring and the high-speed bearing of the inner ring is smaller, while the opposite is true for the low-speed bearing.

 

2. Compared with low-speed bearings, the accuracy of high-speed bearings is different, and the accuracy of raceways is higher than that of low-speed bearings.

 

The general rolling bearing is suitable for low and medium speed rotation, if the use of rolling bearing high-speed rotation requires special requirements, the model can be reasonably selected according to the load used and other factors.

 

If the speed is between 5 and 60 meters per second, it is not considered a high-speed bearing, and the general bearing can basically meet the requirements as long as it can be lubricated. If you use bearings with higher speed in some special occasions, such as high-speed rotary bearings used in high-speed cutting machine tools or precision machining machine tools, you can also use special bearings such as ceramic bearings, electric power, and magnetic bearings
