Key technologies for industrial robot bearings

As one of the key accessories of industrial robots, industrial robot bearings mainly include two types of bearings for industrial robots, one is the equal-section thin-walled bearing, and the other is the cross cylindrical roller bearing. In addition, there are harmonic reducer bearings, linear bearings, spherical bearings, etc., but the first two kinds of bearings are used more.

Key technologies for industrial robot bearings

The development of modern industrial robots tends to be lightweight, and the bearings must be installed in a limited space, and must be small in size and light in weight, that is, lightweight. But at the same time, the performance of high load, high rotation accuracy, high running stability, high positioning speed, high repeatability accuracy, long life and high reliability of the robot requires that the supporting robot bearings must have high bearing capacity, high precision, high stiffness, low friction torque, long life and high reliability.

1. Thin-walled bearings of equal cross-section

Thin-walled equal-section bearings are different from ordinary thin-walled bearings, and the cross-section of thin-walled bearings of equal cross-section is mostly square in each series, and the dimensions are designed to be fixed. In the same series, the cross-sectional size is unchanged, and it does not increase with the increase of the inner diameter size, so it is called an equal-section thin-walled bearing. Equal-section thin-walled ball bearings include thin-walled four-point contact ball bearing series, thin-walled angular contact ball bearing series and thin-walled deep groove ball bearing series, which are mostly used in the waist, elbow, wrist and other parts of industrial robots that require small cross-sectional size and have restrictions. In the case of the same inner diameter size, the number of steel balls installed in thin-walled equal-section ball bearings is more than that of standard rolling bearings, so the internal force distribution of the bearing is improved, the elastic deformation of the contact between the steel ball and the channel is reduced, and the bearing capacity is improved.

2. Thin-walled criss-cross roller bearings

The internal structure of thin-walled cross-crossed cylindrical roller bearings adopts the rollers to be arranged vertically with each other at 90°, and a single bearing can bear the joint action of radial force, two-way axial force and overturning moment at the same time, and the rollers are equipped with spacer keepers or isolation blocks, which can prevent the tilt of the rollers or the mutual grinding between the rollers, and effectively prevent the increase of frictional torque. In addition, the structure of the vertical cross arrangement of the rollers can avoid the locking phenomenon of the rollers; At the same time, because the inner and outer rings of the bearing are separated, the clearance can be adjusted, and high rotation accuracy can be obtained even when pressure is applied. Crucially crossed roller bearings are widely used in the waist rotation of industrial robots, shoulders, arms, wrists and other rotating parts of industrial robots due to their light composite structure, high rotation accuracy, good rigidity, stable friction torque, etc.
