The difference between FC type and FCD of rolling mill bearings
The main difference between the FC type and the FCD type of rolling mill bearings lies in the different structures and application scenarios.
The FC mill bearing is a separable bearing, usually used for small bearings, and its structure consists of an inner ring and two paired outer components, each of which includes an outer ring with flanges and a solid cage, as well as two rows of rollers. These bearings are suitable for high-speed rotating applications, such as the work roll section of four-, six- and twelve-high rolling mills in cold rolling mills.
FCD type rolling mill bearings are also separable bearings, which are mainly used for medium and large bearings. The structure consists of two paired inner rings and two paired outer components, which also include an outer ring with flanges and a solid cage. FCD bearings are not only suitable for high-speed rotation, but also can bear heavy loads at the same time, and are often used in profile finishing mills and high-speed wire rod roughing, middle rolling, and pre-finishing parts.
Characteristics and application scenarios of FCDP rolling mill bearings
FCDP mill bearings are mainly used for extra-large bearings, which have the maximum radial load carrying capacity and a low coefficient of friction. This type of bearing is suitable for high-speed, heavy-duty, harsh working environment at the roll diameter of the rolling mill. Its structure consists of two inner rings, two outer rings, four rows of roller and cage assemblies, two flat retaining rings and one middle retaining ring. FCDP bearings are particularly suitable for heavy machinery and equipment due to their maximum radial load carrying capacity in a given installation space and a low coefficient of friction.
