There are several common ways to classify rolling bearings
1. Classified according to the type of rolling bearing structure
Bearings are divided into the following according to the different load directions or nominal contact angles they can bear:
1) Radial bearings---- mainly used for rolling bearings bearing radial loads, with nominal contact angles from 0 to 45. According to the nominal contact angle, it is divided into: radial contact bearing---- radial bearing with nominal contact angle of 0: radial angle contact bearing---- radial bearing with nominal contact angle greater than 0 to 45.
2) Thrust bearings ---- mainly used for rolling bearings bearing axial loads, and their nominal contact angles are greater than 45 to 90. According to the different nominal contact angles, they are divided into: axial contact bearings---- thrust bearings with nominal contact angles of 90: thrust angle contact bearings ---- thrust bearings with nominal contact angles greater than 45 but less than 90.
According to the type of rolling element, bearings are divided into:
1) Ball bearings ---- rolling elements as balls:
2) Roller bearings ---- rolling elements are rollers. According to the type of roller, roller bearings are divided into:
cylindrical roller bearings---- rolling elements are cylindrical roller bearings, and the ratio of the length and diameter of cylindrical rollers is less than or equal to 3;
The rolling element of the needle roller bearing ---- is the bearing of the needle roller, and the ratio of the length to the diameter of the needle roller is greater than 3, but the diameter is less than or equal to 5mm;
Tapered roller bearings ---- rolling elements are bearings for tapered rollers; Spherical roller bearings—rolling elements are bearings for spherical rollers.
Bearings are divided into the following according to whether they can be adjusted during work:
1) Spherical bearing---- raceway is spherical, which can adapt to the angular deviation and angular motion between the axial lines of the two raceways;
2) Non-aligning bearings (rigid bearings) ---- bearings that can resist the axial angle deviation between raceways.
Bearings are divided into the following according to the number of rolling elements:
1) Single row bearings---- bearings with a row of rolling elements;
2) Double-row bearings---- bearings with two rows of rolling elements;
3) Multi-row bearings---- bearings with more than two rows of rolling elements, such as three-row and four-row bearings.
Bearings are divided into the following according to whether their parts can be separated:
1) Detachable bearings---- bearings with separable parts;
2) Non-separable bearings---- bearings that cannot be arbitrarily separated by rings after the final matching.
Bearings can also be divided into a variety of structural types according to their structural shapes (such as whether there is a filling groove, whether there is an inner and outer ring and the shape of the ring, the structure of the flange, and even whether there is a cage, etc.).
Classification according to the size of rolling bearings Bearings are divided into the following according to their outer diameters:
(1) Miniature bearings---- bearings with nominal outer diameter sizes below 26mm;
(2) Small bearings---- bearings with nominal outer diameter ranging from 28 to 55 mm;
(3) Small and medium-sized bearings---- bearings with nominal outer diameter in the range of 60-115mm;
(4) Medium and large bearings---- bearings with nominal outer diameter size range of 120-190mm
(5) Large bearings---- bearings with nominal outer diameter ranging from 200 to 430mm;
(6) Extra-large bearings---- bearings with nominal outer diameter ranging from 440mm or mor
